This sophisticated and highly infectious mambo is written in a moderate tempo and features solo space for trumpet and alto sax (flute part optional). Originally composed for the Mario Bauza Orchestra; the title refers to Mario's dog; Piro (“Para Piro” in English is “For Piro”). It was ultimately recorded on a tribute album to Mario by the band Cubarama; produced by Paquito D'Rivera on Termidor Records. This new edition is completely re-edited and engraved with explicitly written out rhythm section parts. (Recorded by Cubarama)
