Virtuoso by : Andre Waignein André Waignein; one of the foremost contemporary composers of wind music; wrote Virtuoso on the commission of Thierry Patel; head of the Music School of Gaillon-Aubevoye (France). It consists of a single movement divided into two sections; each characterized by a particular mood. The two parts are played one after the other without pause. Michael Arrignon; French concert clarinettist and teacher at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris; performed Virtuoso at its world premier. The concert band of the music School of Gaillon-Aubevoye; conducted by Thierry Patel; accompanied him.
